Well, this episode was rather… Hmm.
To be honest I thought the episode was rather pointless. Isn’t there some Darkness the characters could be fighting? Or Luthors to round up? There are only a handful of episodes left, and shouldn’t they be focusing on stuff that’s more important than “OMG Clark and Chloe got married! Lois lost her ring! Oliver is wearing an ugly leisure suit! Emil has a personality! Tess likes to sing!”
I have to admit Lois looked really hot in the beginning of the episode, and though she slept on railroad tracks managed to keep looking hot.
I did like the depiction of Clark’s hangover; it was really obvious really quickly what had happened. Also? Lemurs FTW! I also cracked up at Clark running into the wall when he was trying to speed to Emil. The hokey limo, omg. So very trashy Clark.
After it became clear the episode would be a journey episode to recover the lost memory of the night before, I kind of got pulled out of it. Too many characters in too short a time to tell a story like that decently. Especially when the last ten minutes are taken up by Chloe leaving and then the video from Emil’s camcorder. Maybe leaving out the beginning scene of them getting ready for the party would have made a difference; them not knowing something was wrong right away would have been more “Dude Where’s My Car” style and less cliché than “OMG we woke up married and hungover after the bachelor(ette) party.” The video itself was sort of cute, but I don’t really find drunken excess amusing, especially when it’s so forced. I did find Tom to be identifiable as “not Clark,” so that shows off his acting skills.
I did enjoy Lois’s focus on her ring; she would think that that was the embodiment of Clark and their feelings for each other. But at least he set her straight at the end.
I found the scene with Lois at the casino crawling around on the floor after the ring to be reminiscent of the opening sequence from “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.” I was really expecting the ring to slide across the floor into a sea of something else ring-shaped, making it harder for her to see it.
Speaking of the casino, Oliver in his little showgirl outfit… Holy crap. It was funny and hot but he doesn’t exactly have the body to pull off being a showgirl wearing that little. The narrow hips, broad shoulders, jaw line, and flat chest don’t exactly scream femininity, but the bad guy was into him, I guess. I guess I’m more confused as to how he didn’t realize Oliver was a guy right away. The entire Justice League dressed like that? That *would* be super hot.
And…Emil and Tess? Really? I guess they’re the last two opposite-gendered characters who haven’t hooked up at all. I mean, why not shove them together?
I guess while I’m enjoying the season overall and its relative lightheartedness as it moves the characters along to their ultimate places in DC canon, I think the show should be focusing more on the stories it needs to finish developing and wrap them up. Give me Luthors! The Luthors were made interesting again this season! While the Darkness isn’t as interesting, at least it’s something for Clark to fight! Isn’t he supposed to fight crime and stuff? Maybe it was repetitive, but at least Buffy killed vampires in her teasers all the time. Why not have Clark do some saving?
And next week, back to the Luthors! And we find out that Alexander has Clark’s DNA? This punk jerk is our beloved Superboy? I’m not sure I am a fan of this development. And wait, does that mean the Lex of the future is half Kryptonian? So then how does he wear a Kryptonite ring… Hmm. Well, maybe there will be answers this week.

Um, yeah, so I'm pretty sure they don't pay Justin enough.
