TVD 2.13
The tension increases!
We open on Caroline being stalked by angry Tyler. She says she and Tyler can’t date because of Matt. Tyler asks about Mason. Then says he knows the Salvatores are vampires. He wants to know if she knew Mason was dead, and she says yes and he flips out. He stomps away.
Hello, shirtless Damon.
Uncle John and Elena. He says he’s there to protect her. Jenna is very hostile with him.
John drops the “Elena’s biological father” bomb on Jenna.
Damon and Stefan arguing about John.
The Elijah-stone-Elena storyline really has me confused. God, that’s too similar to Isobel-artifact-Lana.
Heh, Damon says he may have to get a “hero haircut” of his own because he’s becoming a good guy. He’s so smooth.
Caroline and Stefan; she tells him about Tyler.
Jules and Tyler. She says vamps and wolves will always be enemies. Wants Tyler to run away with her. Talks about wolfy code of loyalty.
Damon tries his good guy act on Elena.
Tyler. Stefan is there. Stefan has some vamp eyes going on and he holds Tyler down.
Jules to someone named Brady. Macking on him. She wants the boy more than she wants vengeance. More macking.
Tyler asks Stefan about Mason. Ty tries to run but Stefan makes a threat.
Uncle John and Jeremy at an outdoor concert. Jeremy offers the invulnerability ring to get John to leave. John refuses the ring and offers lunch. Finally leaves.
And there’s Bonnie. Wants nothing to do with those warlocks. Warlock says Elijah is a man of his word and will protect Elena and her friends.
Jeremy walks off with Bonnie.
Jenna lamenting the odd relationships among Elena’s immediate family and her current boyfriend (Alaric). John wants to join them. Damon and Elena also there.
Back to Tyler and Stefan. Stefan says Caroline is good to have on his side. Stefan says they can all be in the same place together.
Damon and John. That’s right, Katherine was compelled to stay in the tomb by Elijah.
Matt and Caroline. Matt wants to talk. Maybe they’ll give him a reason to still be on this show?
Uh oh, Jules talking to Caroline. They are hostile to each other—Jules vervanes Caroline, and Brady snaps her neck!
Caroline wakes up in a cell in extreme pain. Brady is sitting there watching her, and says it’s going to be a long night. And shoots her.
Stefan and Tyler. Explains how he has a family and says Tyler can have one to.
Jules calls Stefan from Caroline’s phone. Wants to know where Tyler is. Lets him know Caroline is there and in pain.
Jenna introduces Damon to a news woman. Damon blows her off, and tells Elena it’s for the good of women everywhere.
Stefan calls Elena. Elena wants Tyler left out of it. Damon tells Elena to stop assuming Damon will play the good guy because Elena is the one asking. John keeps Elena back as Damon storms off.
Brady interrogates Caroline as he tortures her.
Brady and Jules, she wants to help Tyler. Brady forming a wolf team against vampires.
Elena and John again. Elena tells him the word “family” is off limits to him. Elena storms off.
Jules hears someone out in the woods. It’s Stefan and Tyler. Stefan wants her to leave town, and says Tyler can make his own decisions.
There are a ton of wolves with Brady and Jules. Tyler goes to Jules. Damon acknowledges he killed Mason.
Wolf/vamp fight!
Tyler hesitates at saving Caroline.
Stefan catches a stake then throws it at a vamp and penetrates his neck. But then gets staked through the back!
Jules shoots Damon. Then has Caroline up against the motor home. Tyler watches.
Brady is about to stake Damon when he and Jules and other wolves clutch their heads and fall to the ground. It’s the warlock! Upholding Elijah’s promise!
Tells Tyler to tell the other wolves to get out of town.
Caroline and Stefan. He wants to comfort her, she pushes him away. They’re kinda cute together, if I didn’t know he’s with Elena.
John to Damon. John knows Damon wants to protect to Elena. John has ash from the genesis of the Originals and a dagger to fight an Original. Hmm. From Isobel.
Caroline gets a call from Matt. Says she didn’t meet him because she’s with Bonnie. Who is across the restaurant from Matt. Eww, flirting and hand-holding with Jeremy.
Tyler to Caroline. Asks if she’s okay. She’s upset. Tyler says he doesn’t know who to trust, that Caroline lies. She’s pissed he didn’t help. Says he isn’t welcome near her and that he should go to his wolf pack.
Show was back for four minutes before another commercial break.
Elena and John. He gives her jewelry belonging to her mother (not Isobel). Emphasizes that Miranda and Grayson were Elena’s parents. Says he’ll do whatever he can to protect her and her family.
Stefan is in her living room. She tells him she doesn’t believe John. Asks about Caroline, and Stefan says he needs her help.
Tyler to Jules and Brady. Tyler says he’s sorry about their friends. He asks if it’s always like this, and they say no, that he’s just living in vampire country. Tyler tells them about the moonstone. They are interested in it, but Ty doesn’t know where it is.
Stefan to Caroline. Brings Elena and Bonnie to have a slumber party with her. Aww, Stefan is the best boyfriend ever!!!!!!!!!!
Damon and news lady in a bathtub together. “Tall dark and handsome” “I’m not that tall.” Damon tells her he’s in love with a woman he can never have. Doesn’t like not being in control. Says he’s bad. He kills people. Compels her to not be afraid. Tells her he likes to kill people, and he can’t be who he is because of Elena. Wants news girl to be his distraction. They smooch then he bites her.
Katherine in the tomb. Shit, John is there. Isobel got Katherine’s message. She says she wants out of the tomb, and he tells her he’s already on it.
Next week, more wolves, Stefan and Elena away.
The wolf stuff is really interesting, but I’ve lost control of the Elijah-Klaus-Elena stuff.

I feel like Matt is getting more and more useless with every episode. How long until they kill him off to further someone else's character development?
I can't wait for Katherine to get out of that tomb! We need some bitchy fierceness up in here. I adore Caroline now and she's badass, but she's getting too nice!

As soon as Caroline became a vamp and thus cut some ties to her old life, Matt should have been gone. There is no reason for him to be there, unless like you said and he gets killed because someone becomes evil or whatever. Then again Matt hasn't really been crucial to anything going on. But neither was Tyler until that one shot of him looking at the moon last season which indicated to me that he was a werewolf (I clearly watch too much tv).
The Katherine stuff really is chilling. She's just *so* evil and manipulative.
Caroline makes a cute vampire, doesn't she? Even when she's angry. She also didn't have a real role until she got killed. Matt needs to become a vengeance demon or something.
