Been a while!
Elena sleeping. Creepy warlock dude is there but disappears.
Jump moment when Alaric is behind her and in his undies.
Ah, warlock dude is taking Elena’s hair and personal things.
Why are all these lights on in what is clearly the middle of the night?
Damon and Stefan to the tomb. Then they go to Elena. They want the moonstone. Katherine offers to give the stone up for her freedom. Destroying the moonstone destroys the spell that requires Elena’s blood. Bonnie offered to help with the spell.
Elena doesn’t want them to do it. She wants them to focus on Klaus. They don’t understand.
Bonnie and Luka talking about witchdom. He points out Bonnie needs help from nature and the elements to help reduce the physical stress on her. He offers to help out. Together they create a windstorm.
Jeremy joins them, and Luka leaves. Damon texts Bonnie.
Elena to Salvatore house. Rose not dressed and waiting for Damon. Elena wants information on Klaus, from Slater. For her help, Elena offers Bonnie’s help in sun-proofing her.
Tyler and Matt. Awkward guy-itude. Caroline talks to Matt. He really doesn’t look good. Caroline talks to Tyler. Wants to know if he has a plan for the full moon.
Bonnie, Damon, Jeremy, and Stefan discussing the plan to lower the spell on the tomb. Bonnie asks for something that belongs to Katherine.
Rose takes Elena to Slater. They find his staked corpse.
They go through his things to look for information. A girl named Alice is hiding out, terrified.
Stefan has the picture of Katherine to use for the spell. Maybe that means we don’t have to look at it again.
Bonnie starts the spell to incapacitate Katherine.
Caroline and Tyler. They talk about Matt. He takes her to the ruined Lockwood cellar. They find an old journal. It belonged to Mason. There’s a memory card tucked in it.
Stefan and Damon head to the tomb. Jeremy questions Bonnie doing the spell. So gross, stop looking at each other like that. Jeremy takes some of the ash.
Alice found Slater right before Rose and Elena did. She’d wanted Slater to turn her. Alice thinks Elena looks familiar. Elena digs for the computer password. Offers to convince Rose to turn her.
Elena wants Alice to contact vamps (Cody) to let Klaus know she’s ready to give herself up. Wants to sacrifice herself to save her family.
Jeremy enters the tomb. Attacks Katherine to get the stone.

Jeremy has trouble finding the stone, but he sees it on a shelf. He grabs it and runs for the door but Katherine is well by then. He throws the stone outside but Katherine bites him.
Rose calls Damon.
The stone is on the ground outside the tomb, and Katherine shows her prize to Stefan and Bonnie. She can feed off Jeremy and kill him over and over, but because of his ring he’ll just come back to life.
Elijah and the warlock dude performing a spell using Elena’s things. The spell is to find Elena. His reflection shows up next to hers as she looks out Slater’s window. Elijah now knows where she is.
Stefan wants to use the ash on Katherine, but Bonnie needs time for the spell.
Luka and his dad. He can feel something is wrong.
Catherine and Tyler. They use the memory card, which has a video of Mason’s first change on it. Catherine narrates from the journal while they watch. The video is over five hours and Mason had barely started to change.
Damon sneaks up behind Elena. Tries to drag her home but Elena doesn’t want to be saved. She tries to fight him but he overpowers her easily, and tells her not to do it again.
Back at the tomb, Jeremy tries to tell Stefan to stop Bonnie because she isn’t strong enough. Luka is feeling Bonnie channeling him. His nose bleeds. Apparently it was the dad’s idea for him to bond with Bonnie.
Bonnie collapses, but the spell didn’t work, even with help. Katherine starts to attack Jeremy again but Stefan rushes in and throws him out of the tomb, trapping himself, which I knew because of the commercial.
Catherine and Tyler continue to read from the journal, which describes unimaginable pain. The transformation speeds up after the first time. Tyler wants to know why Caroline cares. She says it’s because it seems like he needs help. She admits she was alone and had no control when she changed, and she killed somebody. She doesn’t want that to happen to Ty, doesn’t want him to be alone.
Matt is at the door. He says he misses Caroline. They’re all smiley, and then Tyler comes to the door.
Damon has mindwhammied Alice.
Cody and his goons arrive. Elijah is right behind them, and kills all three of them. Then runs away.
Elijah back to Luka’s house, wonders about Damon. Elijah wants Elena safe for now.
Jeremy annoyed Bonnie followed him home. They argue about Bonnie doing the spell at all, and Jeremy’s involvement trying to look out for her. Gag, Jeremy tries to push their “relationship.” Bonnie pushes him away.
Elena and Damon talk about why Elijah let them go. Elena doesn’t think she was stupid, she’s mad she was caught. Jeremy tells them about Stefan.
Stefan watches them argue. After a struggle with Damon Elena leaves, and Damon and Stefan talk. Stefan says Bonnie has the moonstone. Stefan makes Damon promise to keep Elena from the tomb.
Katherine tells Stefan, “That right there was the biggest mistake you’ve ever made.”
Hmm, the plot continues to thicken, as we’ve all come to expect from this show.

God, Jeremy is so dumb. Usually it's Damon doing stupid shit (like killing Mason) that has repercussions on everyone else, but lest we forget about how terribly annoying Jeremy was in the beginning of last season, they bring out Bonnie-obsessed, stupid Jeremy to mess everything up. At least he threw the moonstone out of the tomb...

Lol it was a pretty hot preview though. It made my jaw drop. I was like "BAD STEFAN! NO!" Also, I was pretty surprised about Elijah turning out to be a maybe good guy. The actor was kind of hot in the next episode, too. I'm liking him.

It's the only thing he's done in a year and a half that hasn't been stupid or selfish.
I didn't even watch the preview--I had the audio up still when I was looking at another web page. So pissed still!!
Elijah really has become interesting, trying to figure out where he really fits and what he really wants. And the way he has super powers over other vampires is crazy!
