And there will be another season/version of Torchwood. Fans don't seem to be too enthused. And not everyone has Starz, so I'm not sure who they're marketing to.

I am very "MEH" feeling about Torchwood. Especially with RTD still being involved. I'll probably watch the first episode to see what it's like, but I definitey won't be anxious all day to see it like I was with the previous seasons.

I can't allow myself to watch it with RTD involved. For all Joss Whedon likes to kill off characters, he still respects the characters and his fans. RTD clearly doesn't, and I just can't bring myself to support his work. I mean, with Torchwood I went from 0 to 60 to like 10 in the span of six months. Because it was awesome but then just crushing, because of what he did and the disaster that was COE.

I still haven't watched the Children of Earth specials... From what I've heard of those episodes, I don't really want to. I am curious about what they'll do in bringing Torchwood to America though.

COE was pretty awful, on numerous levels, not just characterization or writing or plot or consistency or logic. Everything.

I think I'll wait and see how other people feel about the new season, then decide to watch it. I don't normally wait for other people to decide something for me, but I can't bring myself to care enough about S4 to watch on my own.

I think, partially because COE and the ianto thing is still too fresh in the memories....

But gods, if they have a bigger budget, and maybe shiny new additions to the cast...

I think that's 100% why. That and RTD's reaction to the fans' disgust/pain.

It would have to be one heck of a change, but it looks like it's going to be The Gwen Show with a side of Captain Jack, which isn't anything I want. Let me know if the first ep is good!
