Sundays just aren't the same.

For Better or Worse is apparently done, Out of the Gene Pool is done, Foxtrot only does Sundays...

Could my favorite comic strips stop being retired? What's next, Get Fuzzy? Zits?

And yet Blondie is still around. Come *on*, people.

Boo.

Zits isn't very funny. I used to like it, and sometimes it's funny, but meh...it doesn't really do it for me.

Do you read Ink Pen? (http://www.gocomics.com/inkpen) It's probably my favorite newspaper comic. Though it isn't actually in any of the newspapers I read.

I like Zits. Sometimes it a little repetitive or too narrowly-focused, but I reread the book collections I have for it all the time. The older strips have a different style, and they're a little funnier in general than the repetition of Jeremy using technology while his parents are clueless.

Ink Pen isn't in our newspapers.

I do read Zits every day, and it's probably one of my favorite comics, but yeah, I think the older ones are a little funnier.

Mine either, like I said, but I read it online. It's basically the backstage life of newspaper cartoons, I think.

If Zits "doesn't do it" for you, why do you still read it?

Two reasons: a) it sometimes is funny, and b) it's easier to just read the damn thing than to take it off my rss feed list. I'll probably get around to it at some point.

From the sounds of it, somehow For Better or For Worse is going to start from the beginning. I hope so. That's become my favorite in the past few years.

I have a huge grudge against Get Fuzzy, since our local paper picked that up and dropped Foxtrot before it went to Sunday's only.

It'll be interesting to see FBOFW from the beginning, but I'm just bummed because it's so soon after Out of the Gene Pool (renamed Single and Looking for its last couple months) ended.

I'd rather have Foxtrot than Get Fuzzy. I have the book collections for both, well, all of Foxtrot and half, maybe a little more, of Get Fuzzy. I like Get Fuzzy, but sometimes it gets a little too political for me, and I just don't want politics mixed in with my comics. Sometimes, too, I think Darby Conley things he's *really* funny when he's only kinda funny.

But I know what you mean--I don't read Mutts because it "replaced" Calvin and Hobbes when Bill Watterson quit.
