These Yankee games against the Rangers have been bizarre. Balks, weird plays around the plate, Cano arguing with an ump while the ball was still in play, like he didn't learn anything from Chuck Knoblauch doing that during the friggin' playoffs...

Joba out, Pettitte falling apart, grand slam palooza...

And Nolan Ryan looks like crap, wow. It's one thing to age, but it can be done well.

I don't mind the Yankees losing. Okay, I do, but I know you can't win them all. But I'd really like it if they didn't embarrass themselves out there. God.

Shit, and now Pudge is down and possibly out, as is their guy Murphy.

Could the Yankees please not lose any more people to injuries? Sheesh. It's baseball, not hockey or football, what's with everyone getting hurt?

In other news, I was skipping through SV's Justice and my dad asked about Lana having dark hair. Though since she's not even in that ep, I have no idea how she came into the conversation. Clearly she still has power over people who don't love her. Anyway, my dad pointed out that in the comics Lana isn't a brunette. I proceeded to explain how they wanted an "all American girl" for Lana and an "ethnic" girl for Chloe, but that the producers fell in love with Kristin Kreuk, which is why they went with her for Lana and went with a blonde for Chloe.

My dad's response? "These guys should get their heads out of their asses."

I couldn't tell if he was anti-peas at that point or if he was protesting that they didn't go with the sausage and peppers that constituted the rest of the meal. My mom's feeble "It's a vegetable, I thought we'd be healthy" didn't exactly sway him. Either way, he didn't eat the peas. Though earlier in the week there was a canned-versus-frozen misunderstanding... Nothing's ever easy. =P
