House opening credits

I find the opening credit sequence of House to be quite interesting.

Every actor's name is listed with a visual of a body part or region.

Except for Jennifer Morrison, who plays Cameron. Her background is a body of water. Is that a subconscious way of depicting that she, or her character, is superfluous compared to the others? Everyone gets to be a body part but her, making her different, less relevant. Surely there are other body parts they could have used.

Hugh Laurie is listed with the brain. Fitting, really, since House is a friggin' genius and all.

Lisa Edelstein, Cuddy, is listed with blood vessels. Perhaps a depiction of her role of infiltrating everything at the hospital, and getting under House's skin.

Robert Sean Leonard gets the corpus callosum, the bundle of nerves connecting the different parts of the brain. Perhaps because Wilson is often the connection between House and Cuddy, keeping them together and mediating what happens between them. FYI, in epileptics, the corpus collosum was severed to keep seizures from spreading to the other side of the brain. I'm not sure if they still do this. It takes time after that surgery to get the brain to function properly between the different halves. Neuroscience is fun. *G*

Omar Epps is granted what I assume is the heart, because the sternum really gives me nothing to work with. Foreman really does seem to provide that sort of function. A different role than the other ducklings. Though I can't seem to figure out a role for Cameron anyway other than being really annoying and providing needless drama.

Lastly, Jesse Spencer gets the spine. Is he the backbone of the show? Not really. I'd give that honor to Wilson. But Chase doesn't really do anything for me, so I'm probably not giving him fair consideration. And I hate his hair.

Am I reading way too much into all this? Of course!!!! But I just think it's weird that everyone gets a body part with their name but Jennifer Morrison.

While brandishing cane like a club: "I have a cane, and I know how to use it." -House. Gotta love him.
