(no subject)

Is it a rule that if you're a relatively new rock musician today, you have to look like you're ill? Granted, I like the scrawny-pale-dark-hair look, but geez. All these guys look like they have leukemia or anemia or something. Get a tan!! Put on ten pounds!

And cut your hair!!!!!!! And stop dressing like it's the '70s! And stop trying to mimic Mick Jagger!!!

(see, this is why I gave up on the radio and music videos. I just had them turned on today because nothing else is on)

*goes to find videos of healthy punk boys* Well, punks don't look healthy all the time either. And many seem to need their teeth fixed. And I know most people hate the hair. At least Justin Sane (the frontman for Anti-Flag) has a reason to look thin and ill: he's allergic to like everything edible. No high fructose corn syrup! That means almost no junk food!

Anyway, just about every group I've seen a video for this afternoon, which is quite a lot, needs a haircut, some sun, and some Oreos.

LOL

Bwahaha! Oh the over-sexed, under-fed children of the Vampyr rock groups. *g* Gotta love it. You seriously make me laugh.

I just don't understand!! All the groups look the same. And they all look ill. And most of the time they sound the same. And it's all horrible. And I really did give up on the radio for several years because all the new music sucked. I was only brought back to radio (aside from my own show, of course) by one morning DJ I stumbled across upstate, and that wasn't until this winter.

I just don't find the greasy, starving indie look sexy. It's much more disturbing. And ick, while I don't care about fashion, I do know what looks I *don't* like.

"You seriously make me laugh."

*G* Thanks. I try.
