Oy

Read over on The Passion of the Chris board over at the IMDB, posted by what I can only assume is a devout Christian trying to support the fundamentalist belief that homosexuality is a bad thing:

"Homosexuality isnt a state. Its a feeling ,just like anger, grump, or being stubborn."

I'm not even sure what the poster was trying to say, and this was all that was posted by this person in response to someone arguing that homosexuality is God's way of curbing population growth.

If a dude is stubborn he's going to go have sex with another dude out of spite or something? You'll notice the poster seemed to align homosexuality with negative states of being, rather than positive ones, such as "happy." And "stubborn" isn't really a feeling. It's not an emotion. It's a mood. I can be in a pissy mood without actually being pissed. Homosexuality, as far as I can gather, isn't a mood. It's part of who someone is.

And jeez, learn how to use a space bar.

Just saw the post and it angered me. That and the fact that any film remotely related to religion or with religious themes always winds up with tons of threads aruging over faith, and religion, and atheists battling Christians over who is right. It's tiresome. No answer is forthcoming anytime soon. Talk about the film, not if there is a heaven or hell, or God or Goddess, or whatever else it is that people argue over. I used to enjoy those kinds of arguments, but I just don't care enough any more.
