Bones
So, we all know I'm a Buffy/Angel fan, right? (not together, just the shows).
So, that also means I'm eagerly anticipating David Boreanaz's new show, Bones. He's a forensic anthropologist (the same thing my friend went to school to do), and works for the FBI, and that's really all I've been able to get from the preview that is relevant right now.
But, that's not what this is about. In tonight's commercial for it, the background music was Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper," which is one of my favoritest songs. Oddly not as good performed live as on the radio, but the guys are old.
And even this wouldn't be quite as weird if on the Music of Smallville thread over at TWoP we hadn't been discussing "Don't Fear the Reaper" and the way that was the song chosen to play over Lex's proposal to Helen (really, what was that about?).
The song, which I already adore, was discussed last week, and now it played tonight. Weird.
And holy crap. I'm watching The Simpsons now, and part of what's happening is a joke about Lenny's pet of a future, a "Super Pet." Who looks exactly like Krypto the Syperdog!! White with a red cape.
I wonder how many "episodes of the future" this makes for the Simpsons. And the family is always portrayed differently...
